trend prediction v1: for the urban outfitters women’s clothing and lifestyle customer

HEALTH GOTH:

with a distinct shift towards wellness (and the 10 year cycle coming to completion), health goth is on the up-and-up. beginning in the 2010’s, health goth was marked by athleisure, sportswear, and minimalist design with a focus on health and well-being. health goth aims to make fitness more accessible and less stereotypical for people who don’t identify with traditional gym culture. health goth mixes the sleek minimalism of the the “clean girl” aesthetic and the darker tones of the creepy and social outliers.

Norm-Core:

some call it basic. some call it boring. we call it stylish. in this interesting new take on the elevated basics trend, “norm core” is a trend focused on embracing tradition. unremarkable white tees, unpretentious jeans, unfussy sneakers are the cornerstones of this new wave. accessible brands like converse, keds, uggs, and levis will soothe the customer’s trend-fatigued brain by opting for practicality and function over the hottest new styles.

if we’re feeling crazy- let’s throw in a button-up!

Rainy day girl:

a staple in any pnw wardrobe, rain boots or “WELLIES” will be this fall’s it shoe. from tall and sleek hunter boots to clunky and colorful bogs, this trend will help our customers stay dry and fashionable. this trend is an evolution of the motorcycle boot trend that we saw in spring/summer during festival season. we are keeping the structured boot look and transitioning to a smooth, synthetic, rubber version. move over “dad shoe” trend.

fugly chic is back this fall.
